My name is Scott Miller and as you know each week I'm privileged to serve

as your host and interviewer.

Now every week we carefully curate who it is we're going to feature on this week's episode.

And by now we're well into our 100 plus episode two years in and we have no shortage of authors, agents, publishers pitching their experts to us because of the

strength and Brett's now globally of this weekly podcast, webcast, and newsletter.

And so typically each week our production team sits down reviews

the 15 or so inquiries that have come in

and decide if they meet the stature of this podcast.

And I say that was some humility,

because we've been pleased at the resonance

it's had with you.

And then sometimes I pick the interviewees

independent of the group. and this is how today's

interviewee came up she didn't come to us we actually came to her every week I visit

Barnes and Noble pre-Quarantine of course It's a ritual with my three sons.

Stephanie and I have three boys five, eight, and nine

at the time of this taping.

My oldest is soon to be 10.

And each Saturday we make an effort to take the convertible, drive over to Barnes and Noble,

and everybody gets to pick out a book.

My boys actually, I've brainwashed them to think that Barnes and Noble is in fact the library.
