January roster yeah Greg Berhalter on Monday announced a 25-player group for Camp

Cupcake which will be a 20-day which will be 20 days of training and closed-door

scrimmages in Qatar from January 5th to January 25th

followed by a friendly in Los Angeles against Costa Rica on February 1st and don't

try to correct my pronunciation of Qatar I. I just watched a YouTube video about it last night. It was long.

It's not an easy word to pronounce.

Fair enough. I won't even say the word out loud this entire time.

Okay. So the roster is interesting, right?

It's very interesting. It is not a typical United States senior team roster?

No, it's not at all.

It's more or less a U23 group, isn't it?

That's exactly how I would describe it

and that's kind of how I'm interpreting it.

It's, for me, it's the kind of selection we want from a January camp roster, especially the second

one for Greg Berthalter, experimental, young, a chance to look at some players who wouldn't likely get a call up in a do or die,
