Lord, thank you so much for this day that you have made. May we rejoice and be glad in it, Lord.

This is a privilege to be here, Lord, and we thank you so much for providing this place for us, Lord.

And this time that we can come together, Lord, and dig into your word. We lift up this message brought to you, brought to us by Pastor J.D.

Would you just bless it? And will you open our ears and our hearts that we may receive it, Lord?

Because you have something for us and we want to know what it is.

Then we can be more like you, Lord.

So bless this time together in worship and in teaching.

So glad you're here. I want to welcome those of you that are joining us online. You can be seated at this time.

Before we get started, I just want to quickly mention that for those of you here, we're going to have our prayer meeting on on Tuesday night 7 p.m. here in the sanctuary and just would really encourage you to come and join

with us hope you will. We have two services on Sunday mornings, the first of which is the Bible

prophecy update that we do weekly have for a number of years and second service which will be at 1115

a.m. Hawaii time it'll be live stream and this is the sermon which is a verse by verse

study through the Word of God. Last week we finished the book of 1st Peter and so the book

that comes after 1st Peter is 2nd Peter so I know

profound right so today the text is going to be what we're going to start

2nd Peter chapter 1 beginning in verse 1 and we'll get all the way through verse one so and what

we're going to do is look at how that Jesus will always lift us up in those

times when we find ourselves so down.
