Finally, that long winter break is over and we're back. We got a good one today. This is a really good interview with Dave Alvin today. I'm telling you. The man is like a California Roots Music Historian.

At least that's what John Doe told me. That's why I've been trying for years to get him on my

show and I finally got him and it's great and you're going to love it.

All right, sorry for the long break but you know things have been busy

Foo Fighters has been touring a lot and I was focusing on writing a bunch of new songs to make a new solo record which I want to tell you I started last week out in Nashville with Dave Cobb and crew

producing and and rocking on it just like the last one and I got to tell you this one's

this one's feeling a little different this one's feeling a little different.

This one's got a little more like, you know, Marshall Stack and a Les Paul in it

this time around. It's a little more rocking. I'm really excited. We got the

basic tracks done and I'm going to go back in May and do like all the vocals and the bells and whistles and the overdubs and all that kind of stuff and then hopefully get it out I don't know I don't know when

it's gonna come out but it's gonna come out sometime and I am really really

stoked with where it's going. Also while I got your attention there's a couple gigs coming up.

I don't know if you guys remember, but back in 2015, when I had a night off in Austin,

me and some friends down there threw together a little gig at the Continental and we called ourselves the

Fucker Ruse and we did a bunch of honky-tunk covers and we're doing it again.
