Welcome to another exciting edition of Day 5 Guide Day and I'm in a small mouth

Crush Studios. We're doing kind of a little bit of a collab week this week up in upstate New York I went from the

Basemaster open on Lake St. Clair

where I call like 38 pounds 37 and a half pounds of small mouth and finished 80th

and then came up here for three days and then I've been hanging out with Travis was on small mouth

crush last night with the guys who, well the guy who caught the 12.5 pound largemouth

for the New York State record.

Pretty unbelievable out of Cayuga.

But one of the features that I do on a monthly basis on BTL is Guide Day where you take different guides from across the country, you specialize in different things and kind of break down how you got into it, what it is, what you guide for, the whole nine yards.

And obviously I wanted to do a guide day with you, since you are a full-time guide on Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River.

Get a little bit of your background, your story on how you got into it.

I know you've guided literally all over the country over the past 15 years and have kind of settled down here.

So Travis, you have Small Mouth Crush, which obviously focuses on Smallmouth, YouTube channel the guide service but like

just start out by talking a little bit about the fishery that is

thousand islands and Lake Ontario and what it has to offer outside of

the four five six seven pound small mouth that it is famous for in the bass fishing

world right so so up here on the St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario,

huge body water, obviously.

I can't cover it all, so I really focus on the eastern basin

and then all the way up into the river I would say around Ogden'sburg area

to the to the mile so it's a huge stretch when you book a trip with me you'll get an email with probably 15 different boat ramps and we

really determine where the bite is weather conditions things like that where we're going to launch,
