Today we are talking about 2015's Inside Out, one of my favorite movies, and I'm joined by the Lessons from the Screenplay team, writer Trisha Arand.

So Inside Out is amazing.

And it is one of the videos I did what feels early on now.

But it was kind of a departure in terms of like the format of the videos for the channel because this was kind of the first one

where I tried to talk about process and in the inside out Blu-ray there's a lot of really good

making of material that sort of goes into Pete Doctor who directed it and corroded his process

of finding what the story is and the questions he wanted to answer and all these things.

So the video talks a lot

about his process of trying to understand why his little girl wasn't happy anymore when she

became a teenager and just kind of the evolution that happens as we all grow up and lose

the innocence of childhood and et cetera. But yeah, so what I also love about the movie that I want to talk about today is just how

it's like the perfect example of story structure.

Like it's the one I always go to in my head because everything is just right there on the

surface.

And I didn't pick that up the first time I saw it because the first time I saw it,
