| 0:00.0 | What we're about to see here in this chapter is why it is that Jeremiah is affectionately |
| 0:08.4 | referred to as the weeping prophet. |
| 0:13.3 | Now from chapter 7 on through chapter 10, Jeremiah is publicly prophesying to Judah at the gates entering the temple there in Jerusalem. |
| 0:29.7 | So we've got two more chapters of this. I don't want to say it like that, but Lord |
| 0:36.9 | willing next week we will try, keyword try, |
| 0:42.3 | to do both chapters 9 and chapter 10. |
| 0:45.8 | But I wanted to just take and tackle chapter 8. |

| 2:11.9 | Well, what are they going to do with them? |
| 2:15.4 | Well, we're told in verse 2, they shall spread them |
| 2:19.8 | before the sun and the moon and all the hosts of heaven which they have loved and which |
| 2:28.7 | they have served, and after which they have walked, which they have sought, and which they have worshipped. |
| 2:40.9 | That's why. They shall not be gathered nor buried. They shall be like refuse on the face of the earth. |
| 2:52.6 | Now, by way of a preface, and again, I know this is kind of an intense way to start. |
