Summary

Capt. Steve Huff has been a full time fishing guide for nearly fifty two years. He is the God of guides - the chosen one. The man who sets the standard for other fishing guides. The hardest working guy in the room or on the water. Steve was the first fly fishing skiff guide to be inducted into the IGFA Hall of Fame in 2010. He has invented and innovated countless tools and contraptions to improve his effectiveness as a guide. From de-hookers to bow platforms, knots to fly stretchers - Steve’s creative imagination and eagerness to push the envelope makes him the legend he is. Steve has passed his relentless drive and wisdom down to his two sons, Dustin and Chad, whom have become scary good guides in their own right. Steve currently lives in Everglades City, Florida with his wonderful wife, Patty. We were honored that Steve invited us over to his man cave to talk everything fishing. We chat about fishing Key West in the 70’s, early fly designs, and inheriting his work ethic from his mother.

0:38.0	that has us well above timberline every fall.
0:41.0	We'll be hanging with critters with bows who know the finer aspects of talking to
0:45.8	elk, harvesting animals, and surviving in the deepest forest and highest mountains.

1:09.2	marriages we broke the whole thing we came up with the idea of going out that night and chasing girls and whoever had the biggest pair of pain he's went to pot.
1:20.0	I knocked another arrow and he turned around the other way and I shot him going through the other way so I double-lunged him both ways.
1:27.0	But it was nothing for us to paddle an air mattress out into government cut.
1:32.0	I got him on.
1:34.0	All right now, we're going to teach him a lasso.
1:37.0	I'm just an old guy that likes to fish.
1:39.0	I'm not quitting yet.
1:41.0	And he said, well, who the hell do you think you are, Sue App? And I said, that's exactly who I am.
