I'm Jonathan Eggrich.

I'm joined here as always by my father Emerson Eggrich

and we're trying a little experiment this week

and for the next few weeks doing this podcast remotely.

I am in blistery, cold Michigan and he is in sunny, warm California and neither of us are

teckies, so again this may be an experiment and sound quality and just a well-produced

podcast in general but we'll see how it goes and we're certainly gonna have no

choice but to do it this way for the next few weeks but you're in a

bathing suit out there dad and I'm in a wool hat and it's zero degrees here so I

think you told me you were getting ready to go to the pool after we do the

podcast. Is that correct? That's exactly right. And it's been wonderful to be out here

in California. We lived out here in the 1970s and there was so much smog that the birds used to cough and I don't hear any

coughing birds so it's it's beautiful. Well I guess I mean I mean, the moral of the story is, you wait 30 years and returns, things clear up.

So, but you're gone for a month speaking and writing and avoiding one of the best times that you could

possibly avoid Michigan as I think we're having a record cold for February ever and our water pipes have frozen and it's it's a bit

ridiculous so anyway this is fun to be able to do a podcast remotely and experiment with some of the technology and try to figure some of this out, but we're going to jump right into it right now.
