Well, that's a good introduction to chapter 5 because Ephesians is all about

God's new society. We call it the church, but it was a revolutionary concept back then,

and make one new society. Now, Ephesus was an ancient city. It was an ancient Greek city before it was taken

And so Paul writes to believers in an ancient city telling them they're a new society.
