Arizona. Hi, Paul. Thank you very much for joining us on the podcast today. Oh, it's a pleasure.

You're in Arizona. How did you end up in Arizona? Oh, well, that's a bit of a long story.

I grew up in London. I was a student at London University and then my last position, academic position in the

UK was at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne for 10 years.

And then I decided to move to Australia to the University of Adelaide for 16 years in

total in Australia and then I decided that I moved to the United States was probably a good thing

professionally because my interests have become very broad. They started out in theoretical physics,

but grew to encompass what we now call astrobiology. And I wanted to go to a big university
