0:48.8	Our story starts on January 22nd 1990, where a student from the Mount Hood Community College was riding
0:57.9	her bike along the Old Scenic Highway in Portland, Oregon, when she spotted the body of a young woman.
1:05.2	The woman had been strangled with a rope which was still around her neck.
1:08.4	Her bra had been pulled up to expose her breasts and her pants were around her ankles.
1:13.0	The zipper area of her jeans had been cut away
1:16.0	and her face had been beaten until she was unrecognizable.
1:20.0	There was also evidence that she was raped.
1:23.0	Our poor victim was 23 year old Tanya Bennett,
1:27.0	and she had last been seen playing pool with a couple of guys
1:31.0	at the B&I Tavern in Portland, which was a place that she hung out frequently.
1:35.0	That night she was hoping just to have some drinks and maybe meet up with some friends.
1:40.0	A few weeks after Tanya was murdered and the police were doing their investigation, a woman
1:46.0	came forward and confessed that she and her boyfriend murdered Tanya.
