A few months ago, my fiancee, whom I will call Jack and I, decided to start a small travel fund.

I told Jack that when in my 20s, I used to save money for trips, that I never used my travel

fund for anything else, like being tempted to grab some cash when I really needed it.

It helped me save plenty without burning a hole in my pocket once I was on the road. And he liked that idea. Very smart. Financial moves right there. Yeah. Money moves. I made it explicitly clear that this was super important to me because we don't have super high earnings and anything we can save for the fund would be lovely since we were planning to travel to Italy this year. Ooh, Mamma mia.
