Summary
It's ovarian cancer awareness month, but most of you probably don't know that as this disease never gets spoken about enough. It's called the silent killer and that's because it's symptoms are usually not noticed or checked on until it's already in stage 3 or 4. Because of its subtle symptoms, there's even a greater need for increased awareness and education. Sharon Blynn and Keri Toghia have each had ovarian cancer three times. Blynn is a survivor and Keri is still fighting the disease. Both women share their symptoms and experiences. Jamie Hoskins, one of Ashley and Lauren's best friends, comes on the podcast to share the memories of her mother's battle with ovarian cancer. This podcast is dedicated in loving memory of Mary Hoskins.

| 0:13.7 | this month, September, is ovarian cancer awareness month. |
| 0:17.4 | And it's been something that I've been aware of |

| 0:22.6 | My, one of my good friends and my, my brides |
| 0:26.2 | made Jamie Hoskins. |
| 0:28.9 | I met her while her mom was in treatment |
| 0:32.2 | for ovarian cancer in grad school. |
| 0:34.8 | And her mom didn't make it. |
| 0:37.4 | And it's just I was with her and became friends with her. |
| 0:40.4 | That, that really difficult time, |
| 0:43.0 | like that last couple of month period. |
| 0:44.8 | So I've always felt very close to the cause |
| 0:48.0 | of spreading the awareness, especially since it's something |
| 0:50.3 | that they call the silent killer |
| 0:52.4 | because their symptoms are so, they're so silent |
| 0:57.0 | until it's progressed to normally like a stage four. |
