Alright, I am here today with Chef Remain Avril, and we're going to discuss a few things that we haven't actually ever covered on the podcast before,

from plant-based diet to sexism in the restaurant industry to mocktails and living a sober lifestyle.

Chef Remain initially discovered his passion for cooking at the early age of 13.

He is actually from Paris. He was born there, and at the age of 17 was already working at Michelin Star restaurants.

And in 2010 is actually when he moved to Canada and was then the executive chef for renowned restaurants.

And since then, he has now opened several restaurants, including La Velle, Goldibar, and Narada here in Toronto.

He is also the Canadian ambassador for Nespresso and monogram.

He appears on several different TV segments and shows as well as on the Food Network, and is currently opening a few restaurants,

as well as writing a vegan cookbook. So I'm really excited to chat about some of this stuff, and welcome to the show.
