genocide, which we're going to learn about today.

We're talking about a period from 1915 to 1918 and stretching as late as 1923 that involved

about a million and a half Armenians perishing at the hands of the Ottoman Turks.

We're going to get into the details here today with Dr. Ruben

Adalion, who holds a Ph.D. in history from UCLA. He is the director of the Armenian National Institute

in Washington, D.C. In 1993, he completed a project to document the Armenian Genocide in the United States

National Archives, and in 1994,

the accompanying 476-page guide to the Armenian Genocide in the U.S. Archives 1915 to

1918 was published. Dr. Adalion has taught at a number of universities, including

George Washington University, Georgetown University, and the School of Advanced

International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. He's the author of numerous books, including

From Humanism to Rationalism, Armenian Scholarship in the 19th century, Historical Dictionary of
