Summary

When we have any kind of mystical or ineffable experience, it upsets our apple cart. It upsets the security of our separateness. We get attached to our separateness and become afraid of losing it. And out of that comes greed, lust, anxiety and fear. The main quality of that separateness is suffering, which is why it’s called “the veil of tears.” This birth, which looks to you as a kind of chaotic, random, somewhat morbid humor of God, has an absolute exquisite perfection of the unfolding of your being in an evolutionary direction towards you becoming fully conscious of who you are, which turns out to be God. 1:23.6	March 1975. March 20 in Washington to be exact. Actually, Ramdhas in this talk, he says that two
1:38.8	weeks previous to that evening, he had read this article in New York Times Sunday magazine, which I love. I read
1:49.1	every Sunday and it was about, said two fifths. They did a survey. Two fifths of the country
2:02.2	had a people had mystical experiences. And 80%. This is crazy. 80% of those people said they did not
2:14.4	want to have it again. And they said it was the greatest experience I've ever had. And I never
2:20.0	want to have it again. Isn't that wild? And that's going to lead us into what this talk is about.
2:29.6	He's got a few things going on. This talk, we're going to title it, Vail of Tears. And the veil of
2:37.0	tears is a term that relates with the separateness that we live, that we get born into. And how we
2:48.8	deal with that suffering of separateness is the veil of tears. And obviously removing that veil
