In this episode I cover, Welcome to Plathville and Southern Charm.

So again, Welcome to Plathville premiered on TLC in 2019.

It follows the lives of Kim and Barry and their nine children.

So when this show first premiered,

audiences were shocked to learn that the Plath children lived in America without the internet cell phones and even sugar.

All the children were homeschooled, and of course people were quick to compare them to the doggers.

Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Mariah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy.

Never had soda, didn't know who Spider-Man or Tom Brady were, and had never watched TV.

They lived in this remote area in Georgia with their follow their rules, parents, who basically were raising them in like a little cult.

However, things between the relatives began to change as the children grew up and began exploring avenues that were once forbidden.

Barry and Kim got married in July of 1997.

So in addition to having a family band, Barry worked as a transportation planner and Kim was a naturopathic doctor.

They had a 10th child son Joshua, but he died in an accident in 2008 when he was 15 months old.
