So it's that time of year again. The stores are full of candy sales, tons of costumes on the racks

at our favorite stores. And the question is brought up once again. Should Muslims celebrate

Halloween? Why or why not? If you're curious about the answer, stay tuned to find out.

How is everybody doing?

I'm so kind of torn about today. I'm torn about whether or not to talk about

this subject because people can get really heated about it, like one side or the other. But I

thought we'd bring a really interesting twist in how to answer the question of if Muslim should

celebrate Halloween today. And I think if we could come with a different angle, we might be able to really, really

consider if it's something that we should be doing for ourself, for our family, for our kids,

because obviously once we start these types of, you know, things in our family, they kind of usually carry on for generations.

And obviously as Muslims, we don't want to do the wrong things because we can take sins from generations to generations. So what is the answer? That is what we're going to cover today.

For those you don't know, I'm mindful Muslimah. I'm a mama five and I'm kind of like a big

sister in the community that's constantly answering questions on love, relationship, life hacks,

anything related to a mindful life as a Muslim.

And we're constantly trying to bridge the gap between the sunnah and, you know, basically

this modern life that we have.

And Halloween is definitely one of those.

And, you know, let me tell you what you're not going to get out of today.

What you're not going to get out of today is me referencing a whole lot of scholarly texts.

Now, that is something really important that we should do.

But the truth is, this is not a podcast where I'm like an imam and I'm going to give you like a fatwa on a particular item.
