Hi, everybody. Tom Woods here. I'm going to do two things on this episode. The first part of the

episode is going to deal with the whole EpiPen controversy and the rise in price of the epipan and isn't this price gouging and terrible. It

doesn't this show the free market is terrible and antisocial and all that. We're going to

address that first. But if all goes well, the second part of the episode will be far more memorable. I'll just put it that way.

I've got a surprise for you. It's not at all what you're expecting. It's nothing like what you're

expecting. Well, on the other hand, depending on what I write in the description of this episode,

maybe you are expecting it. Don't look at the description yet if you haven't, because we're

going to have some fun in the second part of the episode. So let's dive in. I was going to invite the author of the

article I'm talking about here to come talk about it with us, and we were told that he doesn't do

interviews. So it's a guy named Scott Alexander, which is actually a pseudonym. His name is

And it's about the whole EpiPen thing. And of course, you know, I think a lot of people, a lot of

libertarians were caught off guard by this because we don't know,

in terms of having to answer for this, anytime anybody in the private market does something,

libertarians have to respond to it. And there's no particular reason that any one of us would

happen to know the ins and outs of the EpiPen market. Why would we? So I didn't know anything about it.
