I'm going to dip in and listen to the governor of New Jersey, but more importantly, we've just made a call. NBC News has determined that when all the votes are in, Glenn Youngkin is the governor elect of the commonwealth of Virginia.

He was able to piece together a victory, keeping Donald Trump at bay while going hard on state issues, and not turning away all aspects of Trumpism either.

What do you think the story is here tonight thus far?

The story is, I'm not going to call it a blow out because we don't have the final, final numbers, but I will tell you somebody in a high up in McAuliffe's camp that was there with McAuliffe, but this way to me about an hour ago, it's a blood bath.

It was a blood bath. That about sums up the night for the Democrats in Virginia, and even in New Jersey, which is still too close to call.
