talking scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're gonna be in third

Nephi 8 through 11 where we read about the destruction in the eighth

chapter and the in the why of the destruction in the 8th chapter and the why of the destruction in the 9th chapter and

Jesus is going to testify who he is and the Nephites are going to see Jesus.

So Bryce, what would you say are some of the important points of these chapters?

Well, it's always hard. This is always a melancholy chapter of the Book of Mormon because people

are destroyed and that's always a tragedy.

But hopefully we can pull out of their destruction and say here's a lesson.

And I think there's a lesson in the destruction that we need to pause and talk about.

So I'd like to take everyone back to Heleman

to a prophecy that Samuel the Lamanite made

to the Nephites while he stood upon that wall. As he stood up there he said

verse 12 this is heleman thirteen twelve and woe into this great city's

Zarahamla I'm gonna focus on Zarahamla as a type and a shadow of every other city.

Woe into this great city Zara-hamla, for behold it is because of those who are righteous that it is saved.

Yea woe into this great city, for I perceive, saith the Lord, that there are many,
