Welcome back to hardcore literature. Today we're talking about Aristotle. Again, we've already talked about an overview for the Nikomakian ethics.

We've talked about how that can change your life. We're talking about how that philosophy can be made eminently practical and how we're going to change our lives by doing so.

The next virtues from Aristotle's ethics that we're going to talk about today, we're going to talk about magnificence.

I mean, what you want to do with the information is up to you, but I mean, I'm following this little virtue program that we've sketched out.

I'm making an assumption that you've already listened to the previous podcast. There's two. There's

talking about the first three virtues that Aristotle details in his ethics. Those are my

talking about magnificence. What is magnificence? Magnificence is one of those virtues that few people

know about. So if you ask anyone to, you know, even people who've never read Aristotle, don't know

idea what Aristotle is. What's Aristotle? You say to them, what's a virtue? Name me a few virtues.

People who have known nothing about ethics or the philosophy of ethics. They'll probably say,

hmm, truthfulness, courage, generosity, they'll say those pretty quickly, okay?
