Summary

There’s a war raging in the sports media world. It all started when CBS wrote a check to Tony Romo, making the former Cowboys QB the highest-paid analyst in the NFL. That was the first battle in this proxy war that’s now pitting some of sports media’s biggest names against one another in the ultimate money-grab era. One of the first casualties in this dispute was journalism. Journalism no longer exists. The industry has collapsed financially. Newspapers have lost their clout. The entire profession is now just about chasing the bag. Once you eliminate values, greed and envy take control. That’s what’s driving the friendly fire at ESPN, with Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Clark taking aim at a defenseless Pat McAfee. And, of course, with Smith and Clark on the front lines, this conflict was destined to split along racial lines. Jason outlines his thoughts on the dispute that he says places the “Show Me the Money” boys — Romo, McAfee, Tom Brady, and company — against the "Diversity, Extortion, and Income” crew led by Smith, Clark, Shannon Sharpe, and company. Jason argues that as long as these industry elites get paid, they are perfectly fine watching America burn. T.J. Moe joins the show and discusses how simple-minded our media figures have become. Steve Kim joins the show to add his thoughts and discuss the latest lie uttered by LeBron James. Fear not, journalism is still alive and well here on “Fearless.” We want to hear from the Fearless Army!!
