1:08.5	But first, I think it's worth noting that this idea of pride month for the Christian should at least cause us just for the name alone to take a step back and say,
1:19.6	I'm not really sure if that that characteristic is something that we should be celebrating as a virtue,
1:25.9	Proverbs 16, 18 says pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.
1:33.1	So pride is not something that the Christian sees as a characteristic to emulate or to strive after.
1:40.2	In fact, we are constantly told to lower ourselves, to humble ourselves, to deny ourselves.
1:47.0	Pride is not something that we celebrate.
1:50.6	It is not a virtue or a value that we uphold over and over again.
1:54.9	We are told in scripture that pride actually comes before destruction.
