Summary

“Child free” is a phrase that populates comment sections on social media, Reddit threads, news articles, and more.

It’s more than a little trendy to at least entertain the idea of forgoing having children altogether.

But is it biblical?

I sit down with my good friend, Jennifer Flanders from

Flanders Family Home Life, chat about the biblical implications of a child-free lifestyle.

We also chat all things birth control and what it looks like to live a surrendered life before the Lord—in every area, including, but not limited to, our fertility.

Jennifer is one of my favorite humans on the planet, and I know you’ll appreciate her wisdom!

because I am being joined by one of my favorite people in the whole wide world and I'll introduce

you to her very soon. But before we

0:21.0

jump into that, I want to mention our podcast sponsor, Voteberg Music Academy, not your average

0:28.9

you can do them in the comfort of your own home with 24 hour access to your lessons, live

0:34.5

calls, and just such a fun community of music learners. Music lessons don't have to be

0:39.4

boring or expensive. Siblings can share lessons at home for less than $30 a month, and you can use

0:45.1

my code, MS for Mama, M-I-S-F-O-R-M-A-A for 50% off your first month enrolled. So you can have one

student learning ukulele while another learns the guitar.

0:57.5

They also have lessons in fiddle and mandolin and piano.

And you can use the code, Emma's for Mama. I'll put all of those in the show notes. Okay, so I have a huge treat for you today. And that is my good friend. Jennifer Flanders is here to record with us. And I referenced her so many times before that I had readers saying, you know, that sounds like so many you should probably have on your podcast, which we were way ahead of you. We had already picked a topic,

1:35.2

chatted about it, and we are finally getting to record it today. We both have a little bit going on because I have 10 kids and Jennifer. How many do you have? 12. Yes. And 22 grandkids,

1:41.5

same to me. 22. You have 22? I have 20 and and two more on the way, once do next month and once do a couple months after that. Okay, so the reason I'm so surprised is I feel like the last number I heard was something like 13. And it didn't feel like that long ago. No, it didn't. We had like four in one year. Okay. And're gonna have two this year and yes it

that are 16, 15,
