I got an email to do the topic of loneliness, which is kind of appropriate, given that I have a newborn at home.

And I know you're thinking, well, that's weird.

Why is that conducive to being cripplingly lonely?

No one tells you this, but when you have a newborn, there's a lot of a long time between mom and baby that happens, because, well, you're the food source and the life source for this little tiny being.

You're responsible for keeping alive every day.

And just by virtue of me having breasts that make milk and this thing coming from my body, my husband, you know, his role is there, but it's somewhat limited.

And I'm the one in the nursery at, well, let's see last night it was 3 a.m. 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. feedings.

And yeah, it's very lonely sometimes to sit in the dark with your small child and you, you know, you think about the theme of loneliness.

And that's funny because having a child is actually listed as one of the things.
