Drones and radio-controlled aircraft are our subject for today.

Dave Thacker is joining us.

Dave is a radio control aircraft enthusiast.

He sells electronics and kits for radio controlled aircraft at his website, Radicalrc.com.

He also blogs there, radicalrc.com slash blog. And the way he puts it, his current interest is in shaming the FAA for claiming the right to control ridiculous amounts of airspace. They're going to be talking about the regulation of what

really is just innocent activities by hobbyists. I'm going to, oh, by the way, for non-American

There are annoying local and state laws that either have been proposed or have been implemented or are being repealed, having to do with this general subject. But we're going to talk in

particular about one in Ohio, that on the, basically with Christmas right around the corner,

it more or less shut down an entire industry, pretty much, by saying you can't have a radio

controlled device more than three ounces. I mean, we're going to talk all about it in a minute.

And then they turned around and said, oh, sorry, you can do that now that we just ruined your
