As I said, today we're going to talk about the power of being solution oriented. Now, what do I mean by that?

I believe you can be oriented one of two ways when problems come up. As they always do, you can be focused on the problems themselves or you can be focused on the solutions to those problems.

It really is simple, but it's a very important mindset shift about how you think about the two sides of the same coin.

And I'm talking about more than just being focused on solutions. I'm talking about being a problem solver as your default mode as it were.

So let me ask you this, when an issue arises at your job or your company or with your team, what do people focus on chances are the majority of the people are going to focus on and be oriented around the actual problem.

Now, the leaders and the problem solvers will be focused on the solution to that issue. Now, there's an old saying that you may have heard it goes, you're either part of the problem or you're part of the solution, right?

Now, your success is determined by which side of the coin you focus on. When you constantly focus on the solution side, your success is inevitable.

Why? Because where your focus goes, your energy flows. And as speaking of your energy, when you enter a room or a meeting, you can either raise the temperature in that room or lower the temperature, right?

Positive and proactive people raise the temperature and they bring the good energy with them wherever they go. That's the kind of people I want surrounding me and working toward solutions in my companies.

This may sound a little crazy, but every single problem has a solution. There are no unsolvable problems. Sure, some problems take longer than others to solve, but every problem has a solution.

And having a chicken little, the sky's falling attitude prevents you from having, you know, I'd better find better shelter attitude, right?

A problem focus prevents you from having any clarity or prevents or slows down your ability to see any answers.
