Summary

From Princess to Treasure: Larry’s Disney Cruise Line Deep Dive In this episode of the DCL Duo Podcast, we’re joined by Larry, who’s fresh off an Eastern Caribbean sailing aboard the Disney Treasure. Larry shares what it was like to cruise with extended family—including his kids and their grandparents—and how Disney’s latest ship stacked up to other cruise lines he’s sailed, including Princess and the ultra-premium Seabourn. We cover everything from the kids’ club experience and rotational dining to standout mainstage shows like Moanaand Beauty and the Beast. Larry doesn’t hold back when comparing Princess’s Camp Discovery to Disney’s Oceaneer Club—and he even breaks down what you actually get for the high price tag of the Adventure Tea. Larry also talks about multi-generational cruising, his favorite (and least favorite) dining venues, and what cruise destinations are still on his bucket list. If you’ve ever wondered how Disney Cruise Line stacks up against the competition, this episode offers a thoughtful and honest perspective from someone who’s done both.   Book Your Next Disney Cruise Line Vacation Head over to our show sponsor My Path Unwinding Travel   DCL Magazine – Your Ultimate Guide to Disney Cruise Line Tips & Tricks Join the waitlist for DCL Magazine and use promo code DCLDUO for 10% off at the WDW Magazine store!   Stay Connected with the DCL Duo Website | Instagram | Facebook | Facebook Group   We’re listed alongside some other great Disney podcasts at: Top 100 Disney Podcasts | Top 20 Cruise Podcasts | Top 30 Disney Cruise Line Podcasts   Disclaimer: The views expressed in this podcast are our own and do not reflect the views of the Walt Disney Company, Disney Cruise Line, or any other travel provider discussed or mentioned.

What's your favorite cruise line that you've sailed? Is it Disney or is it one of the others? It's not really a fair fight with Seaborne in the mix. Yeah, fair enough. I feel like I have to exclude. Yeah, that's not really comparable. I think that's like three times the cost per person for night and all the others. So, I mean, yeah, excluding, excluding Seaborne.

I have been listening to the DCL duo for some years now and find them to be the experts on DCL.

My wife and I recently booked our fourth DCL crews cruise and we are getting uncomfortably close to five years and did not want to lose our castaway club status. We booked a May repositioning cruise on the Magic from San Juan to Fort Lauderdale. It's a unique sailing and our first time on the Magic. It's also our first DCL cruise without our sun. I have really dug into the back

Castaway Club status for anyone who had not sailed in the last five years. I have not actually seen them do that. If that's happened to you, I'd love to hear about it, but I have not actually seen them do that to anyone quite yet. So hopefully that was just a terms and conditions that they don't actually enforce for folks out there. I would sure hate to see someone lose their platinum or pearl status over not sailing in five years.

But with that, Mickey Mark, thank you so much again for the review. We really appreciate it. I hope you had a fabulous sailing for all of you out there.
