Here on this fine Friday end of the week and boy am I ready for the end of the week even

though this was a little bit of a truncated week for us we definitely covered a lot of

ground.

But I invite Romans because sometimes I feel like we are like the Roman Empire just before

the fall of all the issues we have been honored to discuss with you the thousands of articles

we publish a conservative review blaze media the last number of years from healthcare to

immigration to foreign policy to write regulatory issues to me the issue that keeps me up at night

is what is going on with crime.

Even in my relatively short lifetime I've been able to see a full picture when I was a kid

things were really bad.

We thought this was a new normal with crime everywhere homelessness drugs.

And then with that Giuliani era really catalyzed in New York City but replicated elsewhere

we saw the bubble pop and really one of the most miraculous and probably one of the only

positive social trends in this country the last 25 or not the last but roughly 25 years

let's say from 93 to 2015 we'll put it crime went down year after year after year and

an entire generation forgot about this issue.

Well quietly quietly and depending on the location some places it has been for three to five

years some places it has been really as much as 12 years the pendulum has swung the other

way.
