We're going to be talking about Righteousness.

This is a continuation of the series we've been doing on trying to get a more Jewish

or a break understanding of the scriptures in general.

And the idea here is that culture really matters, especially when you're trying to, you

know, we're reading documents that are thousands of years old, right?

So the nuances of words are very difficult to understand.

So you really have to understand the culture.

Understanding the culture gives a much better ability to understand what they're really

trying to communicate and what they're not trying to communicate.

And that matters ultimately for our theology here.

So when we're talking about something like Righteousness, I think Righteousness is a very

difficult, it's a difficult concept because in our church tradition, I grew up, you know,

thinking Righteousness, you know, if somebody was Righteous, that would mean that they

are completely morally perfect, meaning they never sinned, right?

And that is the biblical definition of Righteousness, right?

And of course, that's impossible, right?

Which is why the Bible says no one is Righteous.

And then this is like Romans, you know, chapter three, there's none who's Righteousness

not even one, right?
