In 1980, an older wealthy couple known as Charles and Catherine Romer set off for a road trip from Miami back to their home in New York. A trip that would take them to a stop in Georgia where they would spend the night. After checking into a Holiday Inn at 3:51 PM the couple brought their belongings to their room and no one seemed to see or hear from them again. Days would pass before the hotel staff eventually checked the room after not seeing the Romers leave for a period of days, only to find that all of the belongings had been left but the couple was gone. Even stranger, their car was also missing from the parking lot and has only been seen by roughly three credible witnesses around town before vanishing completely. More than 40 years have passed and to this day, what really happened to Charles and Catherine remains a chilling unknown.
