Summary

Ever listened to a podcast where the hosts are also shooting while talking? Continuing with our semi-live series on setting up your rifle, we’ve gone from mounting the optic to getting things zeroed in and ready to go at your first trip to the range. Proper equipment, bore sighting, 3-round groups, making adjustments and troubleshooting potential road bumps are just a few of the things we discuss in this podcast at the range. Sighting in a riflescope can be intimidating to newer shooters venturing out on their own, and can even bring unnecessary stress or frustration to seasoned shooters who dread this crucial step in assuring your rifle’s longevity and reliability. It may come as no surprise that we’ve sighted in a riflescope or two in our time here at Vortex, and with all those scopes have come a host of tips and tricks that can make your zero-in process a snap and set you up for ultimately accuracy and a long time of success with your rifle and optic combination. Listen on your commute, or tune in on YouTube to see the video recording of this very podcast! As always - let us know if there are any topics you'd like covered on the Vortex Nation podcast by asking us on any one of our social media platforms and using #VortexNationPodcast. And if you hear a very slight drone in the background hopefully not but if you do

0:34.8

0:40.4

yards to work with and we have Mr Ryan Mugenhearn, frequent guest, and we have

0:47.9

So we're set up, we're going to go kind of through the essential, essentially the setup stuff you should have with you when you're at the

0:54.5

range with your firearm in order to have a good sight-in process and really there's a lot of

1:00.9

rifles out there and there's there's many people who have sighted in rifles. So we're not necessarily going to go over something that you haven't already done before necessarily, but we've got quite a bit of experience in our experience. We've found a number of things that could just make

1:15.9

your sight and process maybe easier and also set you up better for maybe a more reliable,

1:21.1

more accurate, just kind of situation in the long run. So we're just going to

1:26.4

dive in right now. If you haven't cited in a rifle before, this is a great thing

1:29.4

to listen to as well because we're going to go through essentially everything

1:31.8

you're going to need to do it

1:33.2

and let's do this thing.

1:34.8

We're actually going to try some shooting too while podcasting.

1:37.3

So that's at first.

1:39.3

Sounds good.

1:40.3

It's going to be cool.

1:41.3
