Ooh boy, people's heads are spinning after that one.

If you aren't familiar with the drama du jour, recently about 48 hours ago, maybe three days

ago now, I don't know Tucker Carlson had the

audacity to have a historian on who sees things a little differently.

Ugh freak out Everybody run around in a circle. His name is Darrow Cooper and his podcast is called Martyrmaid. I followed this guy for years. He did an incredible deep dive on Israel

Palestine and kind of the birth of Zionism. And I found it to be one of the most impartial tellings of a hundred plus year historical period I've ever come across.

I thought it was absolutely brilliant, very educational.

Let's start with a little preface here.

In history, you're going to have to cherry-pick things

because we're talking about millions, if not billions of people

all are interacting with one another in a variety of ways.

You can't possibly know all of those interactions.

You're going to have to select some things to come up with a narrative by which you evaluate things.

Everybody does it, even the most impartial people.

Darryl Cooper is no doubt guilty of the same because that's the only way we can actually view history.

We don't have a window into the past by which we can actually evaluate these things and no definitively

this did that and that did this. you have to read a ton of sources obviously

preferably primary sources and you come to your own conclusions but setting all that aside and
