Summary

Liz and Sarah talk about being Creative Entrepreneurs. How can they expand their vision of their career? What elements will strengthen their two person small company? Then, in The Craft (& Fain), they discuss whether they want to continue writing their novel in the past tense, or whether they’d rather change to the present tense. In The Mailroom, Liz and Sarah answer a question from a Pre-WGA writer about how to approach an established writer with helpful information. This week’s Hollywood Hack comes from a listener: the Bite Away Insect Sting & Itch Relief Stick. Finally, Sarah has a whimsical recommendation — follow the Whitney Museum on Threads. 0:44.4

and I currently have a cold, so excuse any frogginess in my voice. And with me is my high school

1:07.3

and how to survive the war of attrition that is life in Los Angeles. Today, we're going to talk

1:12.4

about being creative entrepreneurs. And then we have a craft and fain about tenses, not tension,

1:19.1

tenses, and we'll answer a question from a pre-WGA writer. Then we have a Hollywood hack from a

listener that makes mosquito bites more bearable, and Sarah has a whimsical recommendation. Yes,

but first this update. So I announced very excitedly that I got an electric car a few months ago,

1:38.2

and a listener wrote in to remind me that electricity often comes from polluting resources like

1:45.4

coal. So I was inspired and I checked Liz with both of our electric company, which is Southern

California Edison, and found out that almost 50% of their electricity comes from carbon-free

2:00.0

sources like solar and wind. So that was very exciting to me. So both I have no emissions when I'm

2:06.8

driving and 50% of the electricity I'm using comes from renewable resources. That's great. And you
