1:01.0	President Trump has just ordered federal officials to reopen and expand Alcatraz, the notorious
1:08.2	former prison complex in a small island of San Francisco that's been closed for
1:13.4	more than six decades. In a post on true social, Trump wrote, quote, for too long, America has
1:20.4	been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat criminal offenders, the dregs of society who will never
1:27.4	contribute anything other than misery
1:29.6	and suffering. When we were a more serious nation in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up
1:36.6	the most dangerous criminals and keep them far away from anyone they could harm. That's the
1:41.9	way it's supposed to be. That is why today, I'm directing
1:46.0	the Bureau of Prisons, together with the Department of Justice, FBI and Homeland Security,
1:50.6	to reopen a substantially enlarged and rebuilt Alcatraz to house America's most ruthless
1:59.3	and violent offenders.
