It was probably about 12 years ago. I was teaching in a class from a book that's fairly famous. You guys probably have heard of it. It's the ideal Muslima. Shout out to the women that did the book club with us for that one. And I'm teaching the class and, you know, beautiful, beautiful accounts of so many things have had to be a really good Muslim woman. Right. And so at the end of the, like, try maybe halfway through the class,

I saw one of the sisters, her face looks so down. And I was just like, subhanna-law, usually these

inspire women, right? So I pull her to the side at the end of the class. I'm like, hey, sis, you know,

I noticed her face was a kind of way. What was going through your mind as we were going through the information and she's just like you know subhanalah i don't think i could ever be like these women they are perfect

the ideal muslimy like these is just perfection and i am not like that i'm broken i'm full of mistakes

i have a temper i have this i have that and she was just going on and on. And I was like,

says, I think we didn't get to all the stories yet. And I think you're going to be pleasantly

surprised that you don't have to be submissive and nodding your head. And like this is in some

kind of like, oh, like pious woman. Like this is this is not the vision of piety or goodness that there was in that time it was

a little bit different than that and i want you to just hear me out would you mind to just go on for

another story she said yeah so we go into the next class and by the end of it i was like so now what do

you think she's like suhannalah that one it made me get it and i said awesome said, awesome. So today I'm going to tell you the account

that I told of the mother believers that I'm going to tell you about today. I think you're going to

love it and you're going to understand there is this balance between us being super strong

and super passionate about the dean. So let's get into it. Let's go.
