Summary

This week we speak with author, speaker and professor Dr. Kyle Strobel. Dr. Strobel is Assistant Professor of Spiritual Theology and Formation at Biola University. His areas of interest include systematic theology, Jonathan Edwards, spiritual formation, and prayer. He writes both popular and academic books and articles, having published in the Harvard Theological Review, Journal of Spiritual Formation & Soul Care, and Relevant Magazine. Why are so many young people deconstructing and turning to the early church fathers and mothers instead of popular authors and mega-church pastors? Why is mysticism gaining in popularity? Why do conversations about spirituality and spiritual formation seem separate from conversations about theology? Why is prayer so difficult? Why does it often resemble an amazon wish list? We dig through these questions and more! Guest Publications: Beloved Dust: Drawing Close to God by Discovering the Truth About Yourself (co-authored with Jamin Goggin), Formed for the Glory of God: Learning from the Spiritual Practices of Jonathan Edwards, Jonathan Edward’s Theology: A Reinterpretation, & Metamorpha: Jesus as a Way of Life.
