In this live episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris, Jeff Risdon, and Tony Ortiz preview the Lions game against the Green Bay Packers. With a late game on Sunday the Green Bay Packers are coming to Detroit with Aaron Rodgers and hope to lay more of their brand of dominating football on the Lions. The Lions are fielding a number of injuries, some key, which isn’t going to help their chances. Green Bay Packers Are Favorites The Green Bay Packers are bringing a 9-3 record into Detroit to play a 5-7 Lions team lead by an interim coach who found a divisional victory in his first game since being promoted. This week is a whole different ball of wax, and the Lions are going to need every bounce to go their way in order to put the Packers down. Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones are at the top of their game right now, and Davante Adams could be the best wide receiver in the league at this point. The ‘Smith brothers’ on defense present a formidable challenge for the Lions offense, and help make the Green Bay Packers a total package. Detroit Lions Podcast Sets It Up The Lions have played the Packers pretty toughly the last few years, so there’s still hope for the Lions in this match-up. It’s not guaranteed to be all cheese wheels, but the Lions needs things to go their way. We discuss the injury report, key match-ups, keys to the game, the Vegas odds, and predict the final outcome. We dive in on the migraine vs. concussion issue with D’Andre Swift, and also discuss a bit about a missing key ability for Kenny Golladay – availability. Also, we dive in on the NFC Player of the Week honors from last week, and why (or why not) Matthew Stafford deserved it.
