Summary

Hey what’s up podcast listener, I wanted to relaunch this podcast because the Alaska Draw deadline is coming up and this podcast has some great information about applying in Alaska and somethings you should consider. This episode is with good buddy Justin who is an absolute killer in the mountains, and we actually recorded this last year but pretty much everything is the same going into 2020 minus some new hunts that have been added. I called Justin to get an updated on 2020 and he did say that there are some new non-resident hunts this year that previously were only available to residents so be sure to check that out.
Also new this year goHUNT now has draw odds and application strategy articles for Alaska as well. For those who don’t know what I am talking about goHUNT.com is a membership that will help you put more tags in your pocket than you have time to actually hunt. Seriously though go hunt is an amazing tool and one that I am constantly using this time of year to plan my 2020 hunts. Not only does goHunt now have draw odds for all your limited entry tags but they also have a ton of info on setting up DIY over-the-counter hunts. Just tons I highly highly recommend getting yourself a goHunt.com insider account and with application season coming up now is the time to do it. If you plug in that TRO code when you become an insider you are going to automatically get $50 in your account to spend at the gear shop so make sure you remember to do that.
