Welcome, everybody, to the Tom Woods Show, episode 308. In this episode, I reproduce for you, a talk I gave at the Free State Projects Liberty Forum back in early 2013. They asked me to talk about state nullification, so I did so, but with a twist, I explained how state nullification can be a gateway drug.

Now, I know on yesterday's episode, 307, we just got done telling you there is no such thing as a gateway drug.

The whole thing's a myth, but in this case, state nullification can be a gateway drug because you can appeal to traditional conservatives who believe, supposed

to believe anyway, in federalism and local control and all that. But there's so much that

the idea of nullification teaches you that you wind up getting swept up and you wind up

getting pushed closer to us ideologically. And that's what I'm aiming to do.
