We set ourselves up for failure is to simply look at the next generation and go,

oh, there's so much more worse than us.

There's so much more.

No, theoretically speaking, they're not.

They are sinners just like the generation before us.

They're looking at different circumstances and situations.

The problem is when we start talking about the younger generation in that kind of a way,

we stop doing something about reaching them.

And we just demand that they accept it in the

same way that we accepted it. You want to win over millennials. You want to draw Gen Z. They don't

need the smoke. They don't meet the mirrors. They don't need the lights. What they need is a church

that we see in the book of Acts. They need shepherds, they need responsibility, and they need community.

I had to try very hard recently, friends, to do something that comes usually very naturally for me.

I had to try to remain humble when I recently did a radio interview.

And the host said to me, that is the best mic check we've ever had.
