If you've ever heard me speak on the road, you've probably heard me say before that it's hard to know a moment in history when you're living in it.

History is one of those things that is best seen in retrospect.

It's hard to discern and understand when you're just living right in the moment.

But right now, because of the bold actions,

first of the Milwaukee Bucks,

and then of other teams in the NBA, Wnba, MLB, and other sports leagues, I think we are now

experiencing the most profound protest moment in the modern history of American sports

I want to unpack and explain it this is Sean King and you are listening to the Breakdown.

Break down. The Breakdown. Our country is having a hell of a time and every time I think that know, in some ways the rebuttal would be Sean,

when was our country not having a hell of a time?

This country is hard. It's exhausting and these past few months where we've

been battling the pandemic where nearly 200,000 people's lives have been lost, where tens of millions of jobs

have been lost, where we have been staring down racial injustice and police brutality in the worst possible ways.

In the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake and now of another shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin from, in essence, an armed,

a young armed white supremacist who came to Kenosha to cause trouble, where two more people

lost their lives.

Another man basically had his arm blown off. I've seen the videos, they're horrible.

In the wake of all of this, people are struggling and yesterday the Milwaukee Bucks and you have to

understand the Milwaukee Bucks are in a city.

Not right now, they're in the bubble in Orlando,
