When Jesus talked to the disciples in Matthew 9 or 19 about marriage and he talked to them about

you know divorce and how it's not God's will and it's not God's best. They said to him, it says,

his disciples said to him, if in verse 10,

if such is the case of the man with his wife,

it is better not to marry.

But he said to them,

all cannot accept the saying, but only those to whom it has been given.

For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother's womb and there are eunuchs who were

made eunuchs by men and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men and there are eunuchs

for the kingdom of heaven's sake he who is able to accept it let him accept it

and so you know I mean in essence he's speaking to yeah there there are those that you know God

has caused to be that way and then there are those who choose to be that way for

God's kingdom and so it's important to be that way for God's kingdom.

And so it's important to remember that.

And also I think it's important for us to highlight

that not everybody is single who just hasn't ever been married.

There are those that are widowed. There are those that are widowed.

There are widows and widowers

who find themselves in that situation.

And I'd like to read a quote from one who was a widower

for a time, and that's Elizabeth Elliot.
