It's Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. I'm handling the show on my own today. I'm going to do what I said I was going to do yesterday. And I can't believe I'm doing this in a certain way. But I think you guys will understand that there's a larger purpose here. I'm not really trying to settle an argument in a Facebook threat. It's that

this argument I thought was interesting enough that it deserved a reply just because,

generally speaking, it would be good to have answers to these sorts of arguments that come

up so often, the kinds of claims that I think are sometimes thoughtlessly made

by people who support the state. And I don't mean that people who support the state are all

stupid or anything like that, but that sometimes they repeat arguments that sound obvious to them

because it's never occurred to them that the arguments could be questioned.

It's never occurred to them that there could be more than one way to think about it.
