In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris is joined by Case *and* Jeff Risdon for a great show breaking down everything Lions – and there is a ton of breaking news. We only have an hour this week so it’s a pretty “bang bang” show – there’s a lot going on and we’ll need you to keep up. Detroit Lions Podcast – Insert Preseason Here We start off with a walk through The Covid Cats™ list – which is our term for the Detroit Lions Covid Reserve List. There are some additions, some subtractions, and some very interesting news that just broke an hour prior to the show. We’ll go over it all, including reactions from players’ wives and more. Whenever Covid is there, there’s guaranteed to be frustration. We cover the Opt Out List as well, the deadline to sign up, and what it means for the Lions at this point. So far, so good. The Lions Signed Daylan Mack from Baltimore and Chris and Jeff go back and review their Senior Bowl ratings for him while also discussing why he’s free and what to expect from him in Detroit. We also discuss the possibility of re-working the schedule. While the NFL hasn’t been forthcoming with any of their work in this area, we discuss what we would be doing in the background if we were the league. Finally, we give a nod to Jamie Samuelson, a man who was an absolute credit to the Detroit Sports Writer scene. A stand-up guy who was loved by all and taken from us far too quickly. Go get tested folks. For everything, it’s sad that we lose such amazing people so soon. Do everything you can not to be one of them.
