guys. Hi, welcome to Recovery Happy Hour where we talk about life beyond the bottle

and what happens after we get sober. I'm your host Tricia. Thanks for joining me today. the by Southwest an event happening in Austin, Texas on March 16th, 2019 at Sansbar.

Chris, the owner of Sansbar, and if you remember he's also from episode 15 and myself have created this event

during South by Southwest weekend where live music and frankly a lot of day drinking

intersect and we asked ourselves why can't we have an event

too where we celebrate a community of non-drinkers

and have amazing mocktails instead?

Why can't we hire some great live music and party outside with other people who want to have fun without alcohol?

And then we thought some more.

And guys, we couldn't figure out a reason why we can't do this. So we did it. Sober by Southwest

is the first event of its kind. We're bucking the norm. We hear you guys, we read it on social media, you want an event where you can

party sober and do it with people who are on your team. You want to feel

included. You want to reclaim your own kind of happy hour. We get it, so we're doing it. We've

already got two huge sponsors lined up. We've got Dry Soda Company and Topo Chico.

Big companies believe in this.

I genuinely feel like we're on the precipice of a cultural shift.

So I'm charging straight ahead with my usual entrepreneur brain and making it

happen. In order for our event to be a success, we are relying heavily on

sponsorships.
