0:14.8	what's going on in the world of human spaceflight. NASA's Mission Control Center here in Houston
0:20.2	is constantly staffed to support humans in space for continuing international space station
0:25.8	missions and soon for Artemis missions. Individuals in this facility oversee cruise safety
0:31.8	and mission success. At the helm, NASA flight directors are calling the shots and overseeing
0:37.8	all of the operations happening from launch to landing. Following in the footsteps of the great
0:43.2	flight directors like Gene Krants and Mission Control's namesake, Christopher C. Kraft, NASA has
0:48.6	selected seven new flight directors to add to the rare and historic position that leads human spaceflight
0:55.1	operations. These folks are taking on the very real and very serious responsibility of making
1:00.4	critical decisions during a spaceflight, with all the flight controllers and especially the astronauts
1:05.5	leaning on their expertise and demeanor to make the tough calls. It takes a great amount of skill,
1:10.4	discipline, and expertise to even be chosen for a position such as this. Joining us today
