Jose Andres became a celebrity as one of America's foremost chefs.

His own personal journey is an inspiring one.

From a small town of modest beginnings in northern Spain to the Impresario who runs 25 restaurants

around this country, but what has earned him the respect of so many are his humanitarian

efforts to help those who are hungry, to help those who need a second chance, and most

recently to feed the starving residents of Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

I had a chance to sit down with him recently to talk about all of this and left more inspired

than ever.

Jose Andres, so good to see you, my friend.

You know, this is what we know about you.

You have a sense of justice.

You have a sense of fairness.

You have a sense of obligation to help people, but it all began with a sense of smell.

That's what I've learned.

I've been sitting back in the day in northern Spain, so let's start there and how you became

so enamored of cooking.
